Through excursions, incursions and workshops, MacKillop College offers the girls a comprehensive range of extra-curricular experiences to enhance their learning beyond the classroom. Students are offered practical knowledge to compliment learning outcomes across a variety of subject areas.
Local excursions include visiting venues in the Bathurst local precinct. Some of the places they visit include Art Galleries, Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre, nursing homes, other local schools, local businesses and local farms.
Day trips include excursions to Jenolan Caves, Sydney museums and Art Galleries, Wet 'n' 'Wild, surfing, Luna Park, Mount Piper, Blue Mountains National Park and Katoomba.
Overnight Excursions typically range from one to 3 nights. Visits to our capital city, Canberra is a highlight for our Year 10 students.
Incursions and Workshops involve a myriad of invaluable opportunities for the students. Some highlight visitors have included Aboriginal elders, renowned authors, Snake Tails, Ancient & Medieval Day, HSC Workshops, police talks, sports personalities, just to name a few.
