MacKillop College host two extensive and fully equipped Textile Rooms. The girls from Year 7 to Year 12 have the opportunity to experience and experiment with fibres and fabrics and learn cloth constructions using patterns. Throughout the year, the girls engage in practical skills by creating and designing Tie-dyed Kit Bags, Designer Pyjamas, Free Motion Embroidery Masks, Hoodies, Silk Painted Cushions and Laptop Bags. The ingenuity and innovative ideas from the Year 12 Major Projects are inspiring. The Textile Rooms are an inspiring place to engage the girl’s creativity, providing the girls an opportunity to think outside the square.
